While  Chad of All Trades is proudly know for “the little things”, ( we started out and continue to have a great handyman and maintenance department) we regularly do all size remodels. We really are All Trades! One of our favorite things to be a part of is turning a back or front yard into useable living space. Adding a deck or patio to your home is like adding a room, … without the walls. Many people nowadays are using their outdoor areas as actual living or dining space, which fits perfectly with our beautiful southern California weather. The ambience of the outdoors and the fresh air are like no other. The quality and variety of decking material are endless and can fit every budget. Composite decking is popular for its very low maintenance, and environment-friendly nature. It comes in variety of colors and textures. Hardwood decks require a bit more maintenance, but have a charm all their own. Redwood ages beautifully and really makes an impact. Douglas fir is also a fine choice for decking and it can be painted or stained depending on the effect desired. Adding layers to your outdoor space can make a small space feel bigger, and a tiered yard space is very fun to work with or create! Don’t forget about the small details such as
railings and/or bench seating. They can provide more useable surface area and define spaces, allow for privacy or not, and serve as an accent piece for simple designs.No space is too big or too small to add a room with no walls.
